The opportunity:

We are looking for multi-trade person(s) and single trade person(s) to join our onsite modular construction factory with offsite work on construction sites.

For our multi-trade person(s) we require you to have a trade qualification, and at least 2 years broad experience over a number of trade disciplines, with an aptitude for learning new skills.

If you wish to continue to be a specialist in a particular trade i.e, plumbing, carpentry, tap & jointer and painter, you will be required to have a trade qualification with at least 5 years experience in that trade, with an aptitude for training people to have new skills.

The role:

We are transforming the way we operate so that we can ramp up our production levels to keep up with new business demand.

Working in our modular construction factory, Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 4.30pm, you will be using lean working practices and play an active role in our continuous improvement activities.

This is a physically demanding role.

Key activities:

You will be performing (multiple) tasks within Production Zone(s) in various roles please see below the list of trades you could be performing depending on your experience:-

Painter -performing painter and decorator duties, using brushes, rollers, or spraying equipment and applying paint, stains, varnishes and other finishes.

Carpentry - performing carpenters and joiners’ duties on the manufacturing and assembly of timber frame panels and other related tasks including other building materials

Plumbing– performing 1st fixes and 2ndfixes, fitting pipework and pressure testing throughout the modules, following drawing and job specifications to meet requirement

Taper and Jointer – handle all aspects of planning and preparing the drywall, taping, finishing, and cleanup.

You will be required to assemble and organise tools, equipment, and supplies and monitor inventory of materials, and

Be accountable for maintaining safe and hazard-free working conditions and minimising waste

From time-to-time you may also perform additional related tasks and may assist with other projects on a construction site(s)

The ideal candidate:

Will be a qualified trades-person and come from an assembly or construction labouring background

Familiar with using hand tools, jigs and high-end equipment

Reliable, hard-working and committed

Have the ability to accurately follow written procedures

Have a strong attention to detail

Self-motivated, flexible with a can-do attitude

Be an active Team player

Able to adapt to a busy pressurised factory environment

Have a good understanding of technical drawings.
