Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical 80% / Electrical 20%)

Maintenance Engineer Fradley Park, Lichfield

Our Client are a unique blend, with a 10 year-old presence in Fradley Park, Lichfield, a pioneering company with ambitions to grow and share their passion. Following a decade of ongoing investment and development they are looking for a Shift Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) to join their team to perform ongoing maintenance planning in the production plant.

Basic salary up to £46k depending on shift pattern and experience; realistic on target earnings +- £60 000 p/annum ( includes overtime, bonus, and is shift-dependent)

Hours: 0800 – 1700, Monday – Friday (training1)(1) Training typically last 1-3 months, based

on prior experience and relative competency

Shift Options:After Training period, the Shifts revert to:

1. 0500 – 1700/1700 – 0500, alternating 3 on/3 off

Or

2. Day Shift: 08H00 - 17H00 (40 hrs basic + 5 hrs regular overtime)

Pay(2):

Level 2 Basic = £41,000 per annum (includes 5-hour overtime p/week)

Level 2 Shift3 = £47,165 per annum

Duties:

  • Planned preventative maintenance on machines
  • Reactionary maintenance on machines
  • Working with food production and packing machines
  • Daily reports to management
  • Daily handovers with other Engineers
  • Working within a team to maintain line efficiency

Experience:

  • General manufacturing experience required
  • Experience in FMCG environments preferred
  • Experience in Food manufacturing preferred
  • Conveyer belt and Injection plastics environments highly advantageous
  • A 80/20 Mechanical / Electrical split
  • High work ethic required

(1) Training typically last 1-3 months, based on prior experience and relative competency

(2) Basic Days Pay rate is £15.50 p/h with overtime paid at x1.5 and x2 time.

(3) Shift pay includes +20% for night shift, x1.5 for Saturday and x2 for Sunday; Saturday and Sunday rate is also applicable on rest days so additional shifts will be paid at 1.5x and 2.0x rate
