As the Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will effectively maintain manufacturing equipment and site utilities ensuring safe and continuous operation.
Your responsibilities:
  • Engineering maintenance and servicing of site equipment- To include- air handling equipment, compressors, chillers, glue machines, ovens and other plant equipment.
  • Support projects in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of key automated manufacturing & site plant equipment.
  • Lead and promote process modifications and improvements to meet agreed specifications in line with Business’ requirements.
  • Ensure all engineering work practices meet all current EHS legislation and apply Group EHS policies.
  • Continually seek to improve existing processes in support of increased material utilisation, production.
Requirements for the role:
  • Ideally apprentice trained multiskilled engineer with experience in an FMCG or service/ facilities sector.
  • Solid demonstrable understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Experience of stepper motors, servo drives, variable frequency drives and ac/dc motors.
  • Proven knowledge of process automation equipment including PLC systems, drives and inverters.
  • Qualified to C&G or HNC (Level 4) in electrical/mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Electrical Installations BS7671:2008 (2382-15) 17th Edition.
