The Rushden site is a centre of excellence for Radiolabelled Sciences incorporating both Metabolism (which includes Clinical Metabolism, Pre-clinical ADME, In vitro and DDI services, Large Molecule Metabolism, Environmental Fate, Plant Metabolism and Metabolite Identification) in addition to Chemistry (which includes API and IMP manufacture). They offer their employees a supportive teamwork environment, enabling them to develop and liberate their true potential.The position we they are currently seeking is for an Multiskilled Engineer to carry out engineering and maintenance operations across the Site, enabling the Facilities Engineering staff to deliver an efficient and effective service to the business.- They offer a competitive salary and a progressive and comprehensive suite of employee benefits

  • Responsibilities- Efficiently conduct corrective and preventative maintenance activities originating from Work Orders generated by (but not exclusive to) the Computer Maintenance Management System
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are completed on time.
  • Ensure all documentation of maintenance activities is to GxP standards both in paper-based records and the Computer Maintenance Management System and that accurate reports are generated.
  • Proactively identify maintenance plan improvements or omissions, working with the Engineering Supervisor to ensure maintenance PM plans remain relevant, are technically correct and compliant.
  • Work on small projects where required, including design / installation & commissioning or minor systems (new or alterations).
  • Constantly seek new, innovative and cost advantageous methods of completing the work without compromising safety or quality.
  • Ensure a sufficient stock of materials, equipment and parts are maintained to carry out requisite work. Identify low stocks so restocking can be undertaken.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and be proactive in addressing potential issues of hazard and risk and reporting such issues to management for prompt action.
  • Liaise with all people that might be impacted by the work, affording them the opportunity where possible to minimize disruptions and keeping them informed of progress and expected completion targets.
  • Essential Requirements:- GCSEs in mathematics and English
  • Post apprenticeship experiences as a multi skilled maintenance technician
  • Broad based knowledge and interest in mechanical, systems and maintenance
  • Safety conscious and aware of key HSE legislation
  • Reasonable computer skills
  • Desirable Requirements:- City and Guilds or equivalent recognised formal qualification in core and secondary engineering discipline
  • Formal Business Service Engineering apprenticeship
  • Maintenance and operational experience in the Pharmaceutical or food industry and with manufacturing and processing equipment
  • Understanding of GxP principals
