Our client, a well established, ambitious Facilities & Maintenance organisation based in Leeds, are currently on the search for an experienced Multi skilled Building Engineer to handle servicing, repairs and installations on their residential contracts across West Midlands. The ideal candidate will have enjoy working within a client facing environment and will have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a proven record of maintenance and installation.

This is a fantastic time to join a company that are making big investments into their facilities services and rewards the successful candidate with a generous salary package of around £42,000.

To succeed in this role as aMulti skilled Building Engineer you will –

  • Have at least 5 years experience working within a maintenance and repairs role.
  • Be a real all rounder multi trader with strong technical ability to undertake a wide range of repairs on residential properties, tasks may include but not limited to; plumbing, electrical testing, joinery, installing kitchens, decorating, refurbishments.
  • Have done some form of technical trade training or have certificates such as HNC Building Engineering Services, Electrical Engineering, 18th Edition, C&G Advanced Craft Certificate, NVQ Plumbing, NVQ L3 Carpentry and Joinery, CSCS Card, NIC EIC approved, JIB Card.
  • Understand the importance of completing work in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Be customer focused and act with confidentiality. You may be entering client homes.
  • Be Health & Safety conscious, ideally hold a qualification such as IOSH.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Have a valid driving licence and able to work in a mobile capacity.
