We currently have an opportunity for a Machine Tool Solutions Application Specialist who will actively work with machine tool builders, agents, distributors and end users in the UK and Ireland to grow Sandvik Coromant business and market share.
Job Summary
This is a diverse and technical sales role working with projects from the outset within a range of industry sectors, utilising a strong existing network both internally and externally to secure sales for Sandvik Coromant.
This is a field based role located in UK.
The job role is to successfully develop and grow both within the Machine Tool Manufacturer, Agents and Distributors, and also supporting Front Line Sales within their regions by securing business for Sandvik Coromant, both project and aftermarket sales via turnkey business, spindle integration, or the non-tooled machine strategy. The overall goal is to secure long-term, profitable aftermarket sales for Sandvik Coromant with a focus to the desired customers within the account development strategy,
Your profile
You have substantial relevant experience or a technical degree, with a comprehensive knowledge of both the theory and practical application of cutting tools and modern machine tool technologies. You are pro-active, self-motivated and have previous experience of managing relationships, communicating and negotiating with external and internal customers. You must have knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and programming and have well developed computer skills. Microsoft Office suite skill is default. You must be able to take the ‘technical lead’ in project discussions, have strong presentation skills ensuring we exceed the customers’ expectations. You will understand the Sandvik Coromant cutting tool portfolio and have a desire to continually improve your technical knowledge and competence.
