About you
You will need to meet the academic requirement to qualify for the programme.
The first year will be spent full time at college. In the second year and onward you will be in the workplace learning about each area of the business.
In addition the successful candidate must:

  • Be able to work collaboratively and actively contribute to the team
  • Maintain relationships and exchange ideas
  • Be able to apply new work requirements with minimal supervision
  • Be proactive in seeking out opportunities to apply theory to the on the job part of the role

During the apprenticeship you will be encouraged and supported in both the college block release and structured on-the-job training which will lead to the achievement of HNC level 3 and SVQ Level 3 in accordance with the Modern Apprentice framework. Plexus also offers opportunities for further Professional Development such as degrees.
Purpose Statement: The individual will complete their education via a combination of block release (first year will be full time college attendance) and structured on-the-job training, and are expected to achieve the Modern Apprenticeship qualification within a 4 year period.
Key Job Accountabilities:
  • Competent in required job knowledge and skills to perform assigned tasks.
  • Able to apply new work requirements with minimal supervision.
  • Is up-to-date on all certifications and training requirements for role.
  • Consistently completes assignments or work requirements on time without compromising on quality.
  • Uses time effectively to manage workload/tasks.
Additional Accountabilities:
  • Supporting manufacturing operations as required.
  • Ongoing demonstration of competence evidenced in Individual Learning Agreement
  • Ongoing demonstration of Plexus’ Non-Negotiables.
  • Achievement of Graduate Apprenticeship milestones.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
  • Meets minimum entry requirements for the apprenticeship.
Other Qualifications:
  • An aptitude for learning and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
Work Environment:
  • The work setting is a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
