There is an exciting opportunity within the Healthcare Informatics Telecoms Team as a Mobile telecoms Engineer. The position is for a 8 month Fixed Term Contract.
The position is based at the CEME Center Rainham but will also require travel to various NELFT sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for the administration and deployment of mobile telephony services in line with NELFT established policies, standards, licensing agreements and configuration guidelines.
  • Be responsible for the management of all mobile devices using the Mobile Device Management software application, including the maintenance of a secure, comprehensive asset register of all relevant mobile devices.
  • Leverage the mobile device management software to securely deliver updates, applications, web links and design, test and rollout major changes.
  • Liaise with service users to support, investigate and resolve support tickets and issue devices face-to-face end users, ensuring support tickets are completed within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)s at all times.
  • Ensure all communication with staff contacting the Helpdesk is courteous, timely and helpful. Maintain a professional demeanour and deliver “client-focused” support in line with Trust values.
  • Receive and make telephone calls, deal with enquiries and take messages, as required, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery.
  • Work with 3rdparty mobile suppliers to support the mobile estate.
  • Work with 3rdparty data management solutions to support the Trust’s data usage analyst
  • Ensure all incidents, problems, changes, service requests are managed in accordance with NELFT service level agreements.
  • Support the coordination of the development of NELFT’s mobile service delivery and strategies.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining documents, policies and procedures for mobile device deployment /management and support, as required.
Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement – London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,784 to a maximum of £4,822).
