Hills Quarry Products is looking for a Mobile Plant Operative/Batching Assistant* to work with the concrete operations team based at Newbury Quarry, Bone Lane, Newbury area.
The main purpose of this role will be to:

  • Load vehicles and the concrete plant with appropriate aggregates
  • Collection and preparation of concrete samples for testing
  • To operate the batching plant and provide operational cover for the Plant Manager
  • Assisting with stock monitoring
  • Assisting with general and planned maintenance
  • Provide relief cover at other concrete sites

About you:

  • Experience working with and/or licence to operate a Loading Shovel
  • Previous experience, or basic knowledge, of ready mixed concrete (desirable)
  • Driving licence

This role would suit candidates with previous experience in agriculture or construction.
Training and assistance with skills and knowledge gaps will be given.
