To be responsible for overseeing the preceptorship programme, supporting the transition from student to newly qualified midwife and supporting the integration of new staff members.
  • Acting as a role model, you will provide support for the preceptee midwives as they consolidate their learning and skills. As a member of the education team, you will work with the education team, you will work with the preceptee midwives to enhance their experience, build confidence and resilience and establish a strong foundation for their future career.
The post holder will support and enhance the practice development midwife and the Professional Midwifery advocate adding and developing the current education and training of all midwives within our service.
  • The post-holder will also be responsible and work alongside the Trust Practice Placement facilitator to co-ordinate and develop student midwife practice placements.
  • To support implementation of key projects in relation to retention of staff at all grades and pastoral care finding models most beneficial for the workforce, or as identified by the Director of Midwifery and Deputy Head of Midwifery in line with trust wide/national initiatives.
