THE OPPORTUNITY

As our first Midweight Digital Artworker, you’ll work on a large variety of different projects, and get to inform practices for two fast-growing brands!

You will work with our Digital Design Team (a team of 5 - within a wider creative team of 20) to deliver pixel-perfect assets on time, and will be responsible for delivering artwork for use in emails, websites, social and affiliate marketing.

You’ll understand branding and campaigns for ecommerce environments, considering the customer journey and engagement at different online touchpoints.

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE


  • Deliver consistent and considered artwork for all digital outputs.

  • Prepare imagery for websites, emails, affiliate marketing and a variety of online features and articles, with an understanding and awareness of optimising content for site performance across all devices.

  • Artwork and adapt designs across other formats with consideration, with an eye for maintaining the design aesthetic across a variety of resolutions/dimensions.

  • Produce fast and accurate re-sizes or re-versions or multiples of existing artwork.

  • Produce elegant, accurate and legible typography at all times, ensuring type complements the imagery required.

  • Participate in studio-wide creative processes, such as the giving and receiving of feedback on selected creative output; brainstorms for priority design projects; reviews of studio practice.

  • Action amends across a suite of assets in a timely manner.

  • Minor retouching on imagery (removal of imperfections, extending backgrounds).

  • Assist in the build of brands digital design system

  • Help create templates from developing guidelines

THE TALENT YOU’LL BRING


  • Experience in artworking for digital assets and an understanding of layout, typography and good retouching skills

  • Knowledge of best practice for mobile ecommerce

  • Experience of working in a busy design department with marketing communications or design company or equivalent.

  • Customer-focused with a keen eye for imagery and photography

  • Confident understanding of web design and performance

  • Able to demonstrate creative flair within previous work

  • Excellent organisational skills; able to prioritise a large workload according to ever changing business needs.

  • An interest in culture, media and the arts is a must; being connected and up to date with trends and movements both in and out of the industry, and constantly looking for opportunities for this to inspire our digital look and feel

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS


  • Relevant commercial graphic design/web or multimedia design experience.

  • Current knowledge of internet technologies, standards and methodologies.

  • Portfolio demonstrating ability to follow brand/campaign guidelines across a varied set of touchpoints

  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects

DESIRABLE


  • Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Media Encoder and Figma

  • Experience working with CMS platforms to upload and manage content and pages
