Job Title: Metal Fabricator / Sheet Metal Worker

Salary: To be discussed with applicant

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Fabricator / Welder. The applicant should be experienced in MIG and TIG welding and have the ability to work with heavier box sections for the manufacture of our various shelters and covered walkways. Welding shall be tested by an outside independent source to ensure this meets CE Marking accreditation. CSCS Card preferred but not essential.

  • 38 hours per week + overtime when required
  • 23 days Holiday per year plus bank holidays
  • Permanent Position with immediate start
  • Fabrication/MIG /TIG welding of 2nd stage structures – the successful candidate will be able to read and implement from technical drawings.
  • Have at least 2 years experience of fabrication
  • Cutting bending and welding of products.
  • Finishing and quality inspection
  • Have experience of working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
  • Be able to work on bespoke orders from drawing phase to end finished product without supervision
  • Proven welding experience to a high standard.
  • Experience in working with mild steel in various thicknesses
  • Able to assist in other aspects of the manufacturing process
  • Excellent work ethic and be willing to work overtime as required
  • Ensure work is carried out to a high standard with good accuracy and attention to detail
  • Previous knowledge and use of a guillotine, CNC press brake, Notcher and other workshop machinery. Would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working on a shop floor environment, within sheet metal
  • Must be flexible to meeting the production demands of the business
  • Be able to meet reasonable time scales for the work required.
  • Have the ability to work within a team.
  • Pay attention to detail and quality.
