An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and driven Band 5/6 developmental post to work within the 24/7 mental health urgent care for Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The 24/7 mental health urgent care team is a brand new service which will provide 24/7, 365 days a year access to all aspects of mental health care, advice, support and treatment. This role will involve 4 specific areas of work including our first response telephone line, our section 136 assessment suite our specialised assessment clinic, and Blue Light services.

Our assessment clinic provides the completion of holistic mental health assessments for service users who are experiencing all aspects of mental health difficulties. This encompasses liaising with GP’s, service users, family/carers and the MDT in order to collaboratively complete individualised treatment plans for our service users.

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist inpatient and community mental health, learning disabilities, addiction and acquired brain injury services for the people of Liverpool, Sefton and Kirkby, Merseyside. We also provide community physical health services in
Liverpool, Sefton, secure mental health services for the North West of England, the West Midlands and Wales and specialist learning disability services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside.
