Rayner is a leading developer and manufacturer of ophthalmic implants and pharmaceuticals; it specialises in intraocular lenses (IOL’s) and related products used in cataract surgery and refractive surgery. Since the development of the first IOL, Rayner has continuously pioneered IOL design with a goal to improve vision and restore sight worldwide.
Today, Rayner’s mission remains to deliver innovative and clinically superior ophthalmic solutions that respond to the expectations of our global customers to improve sight and quality of life for their patients.
This is a great opportunity to develop and execute a global medical communications strategy for Rayner’s product portfolio, designed to significantly increase Rayners overall share of professional voice across our direct markets.
A key focus for this role will be to raise the profile of Rayner in professional journals, congresses, and webinars through developing close relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
Please note this role can be based from our Berlin or Worthing offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a global KOL strategy, in collaboration with the regional marketing team and our in-field product specialists
- Develop and execute a multi-channel medical communications plan, working closely with the global/regional marketing and eye science teams
- Develop and execute a congress podium/symposium strategy for local and international congresses, aiming to significantly increase Rayners profile at these meetings
- Increase Rayners presence in trade journals, industry discussions and online forums
Experience:
Essential
- Medical communications
- Online campaign management
- Medical device industry
- Willing to travel
- English speaker
Desirable
- Ophthalmology experience
- IOL experience
- 2nd language (German or Spanish)
