Salary:Appointments are normally made at the starting salary, however comparable skills and experience will be considered. Future progression is based on annual performance review.

Hours per week: 35 hours per week (Full Time)

Location:The role will be based across both the Sutton and Chelsea sites. The post holder will be required to work flexibly across both sites.

Job Details

As Media Laboratory Team Leader, you will be required to lead the laboratory media production facility; promote and expand the services; ensure high quality products, service, sustainability and value for money; support the LSS manager in providing all services.


Key Requirements

The successful candidate must have in depth knowledge and experience of tissue culture techniques, be able to notice and resolve methodological problems in a busy working environment, be able to seek out and implement continuous improvements and be able to plan, organise & prioritise to meet objectives within pre-determined timescales.

Department/Directorate Information

The LSS team provides front line support services to ICR scientists at Chelsea and Sutton, including collection of dirty glassware, wash up and sterilization; biohazard waste collection, sterilization and disposal; specialist sterilization; pure water supply, media preparations and other similar duties.
