Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of£28,274 - £29,356 per annum plus excellent benefits.About The RoleAs our Mechanical Operator, you will carry out reactive and planned work as derived from both Lean RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) and scheduled activities on the treatment assets, with an additional requirement to assist in the day-to-day operation of these assets and those of the Bioresources plant. Ultimately to provide services of the required quality and quantity, in a sustainable manner that meets the required internal and external customer service standards,whilst protecting the environment.What you’ll be doing:
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical equipment as defined by both Lean RCM and scheduled activities to the highest standard of workmanship
  • Liaising with the site WWT Manager, WTSS (Wholesale Technical Support Services) and other members of the team to ensure site operation and asset maintenance is optimised
  • Ensuring the timely completion of onsite planned and reactive maintenance
  • Conducting Vibration monitoring activities on equipment as defined by CBM
  • Carrying out whole site asset Operational assessment ensuring effective site operation and compliance requirements are maintained and the environment is protected
  • Operating the Waste Water Treatment Assets ensuring site processes are running effectively and efficiently
  • Storing and handling chemicals in accordance with COSHH, QMS procedures and relevant Health and Safety standards
  • Using the SCADA control system, PC’s and associated computer hardware and software in order to complete your role effectively

What we are looking for:
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science subject
  • Completion of a Professional Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3
  • Experience of working in a team and an understanding of the importance of teamwork
  • Utilising a full understanding of related RAMS to deliver an effective and safe maintenance regime
  • Able to work to a high standard with a focus on the quality of work carried out to enable compliance with our regulated consents
  • Have the ability to fault find utilising a structured and analytical approach through to the repair of complex pieces of mechanical equipment
  • Understanding of Lean/RCM Principles
  • Proven ability to both operate and maintain in a proactive manner all activities related to the mechanical maintenance of the assets at the site
  • A full UK Driving License
