Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Based in Gloucester, UK - Days - Onsite

Job ref: HS /58530

Shift: This role is day based, Monday to Friday, with weekend working on a rotational basis, every 6 weeks with a call out requirement.

Salary: £30-£40K Based on experience and negotiable

Potential for overtime - not always guaranteed

The role:

The purpose of this role is to work closely with the engineering team to deliver effective and efficient maintenance to the manufacturing facility to ensure continuous operation.

Responsibilities:

• This role will support the site operations team in carrying out a wide range of mechanical maintenance activities

• Routine maintenance to support plant critical systems and equipment

• Equipment performance and reliability

• First line fault finding and diagnostics

• Support of Operations Improvement and Transformation projects

• The successful candidate will be expected to work on a range of manufacturing and utility systems that support the critical manufacturing environment for a quality critical automotive end use.

Requirements:

• Experience of the practical aspects of engineering and maintenance within a manufacturing environment

• Experience in maintaining process machinery and equipment

• NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical engineering principle

• The ability to work both independently and as part of the Operations Team

• The ability to plan, prioritise and schedule your work in a busy manufacturing environment

• The ability to work with Computer Based Maintenance Planning systems to maximise effectiveness and efficiency individually and as part of the Operations Team
