Reporting to Production manager you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical and hydraulic systems on vehicle based conversions.
The role will incorporate new installations, upgrades, repairs and decommissioning.
Your work will be to a high standard with a high degree of accuracy employing a right first-time philosophy
Responsibilities
- Installing hydraulic systems
- Inspect and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Conducting inspections, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions;
- Replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
- Service mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
- Follow engineering drawings
- Follow manufactures installation instructions
- Operate hand tools correctly
- Operate power tools correctly
- Undertake Repairs
- Interpret reported defects and rectify
- Assess serviceability and safety
- Completed work to the highest standard
- Customer site visits as required
- Site visit reports
- Identify and raising quality issues
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- Overtime as required
- Adheres to Health & Safety regulations
- Daily cleans, tidies and organises all areas of the workshop
- Any other work as requested by management that they deem suitable

· Experience within the automotive industry preferable
· Ability to read and understand engineering plans and technical drawings
