Mechanical Assembly Fitter

£28,000-£30,000 + Pension + Overtime

Based in Leeds

The Company:

ATA Recruitment are working with an international engineering company that design and manufacture special purpose machinery that is sold all over the world. They assemble the machinery out of a busy workshop in Leeds and are looking for mechanical fitters or mechanical assembly technicians help them grow.

The Role:

Working regular da Monday to Friday with plenty of opportunity for OT in the week and at weekends, the mechanical fitter will:

  • Build and assembly complex machinery
  • Depending on skillset can do some fabrication and welding
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Follow strict heat hand safety procedures
  • Perform mechanical test on assemblies and final products

Required Experience:

  • The ideal mechanical fitter or mechanical assembly technician will be mechanically qualified to NVQ level 3.
  • You must be able to follow detailed engineering drawings
  • We are expecting that you will have done a similar workshop based assembly role in the past
