Mechanical Engineer

CK Group are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a rapidly expanding Pharmaceutical CDMO to be based in their brand new facilities in Middlesbrough on a permanent basis.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensure regulatory compliance for mechanical fixed equipment.
• Lead the development and implementation of systems and procedures for Mechanical Integrity programmes.
• Lead the development of site engineering standards, for mechanical equipment.
• Ensure inspections are scheduled in keeping with regulations
• Lead or participate in strategic reliability efforts such as Risk Based Inspection, Fitness For Service and Root Cause Analysis.
• Maintain a database of Vessels and Piping systems and ensure remedial actions are prioritised.

Your Background:

• Degree level in Mechanical Engineering, preferably chartered status
• Relevant Mechanical engineering experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
• Experience working with Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Centrifuges, Piping, Valves, Atmospheric Storage Tanks.
• Good working knowledge of RBI, inspection and Fitness for Service assessments.
• Working knowledge of Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice including PPSR, API, ASMEand EEMUA 231/159.
