King and Moffatt are a well-established Mechanical and Electrical contractor, we pride ourselves on being a full building services solutions provider who has successfully delivered multiple large-scale projects in Ireland, the UK & multiple locations in Europe.

Due to phenomenal growth we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Wolverhampton. This role is pre-dominantly office based. You will be responsible for developing and delivering mechanical designs to facilitate the safe and compliant installations on site.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing in conjunction with fire certs, disability access certs & planning permission report.
  • Attending Design team meetings.
  • Carrying out site surveys of existing installations.
  • Producing stage reports & presentations.
  • Detailing mechanical layouts & schematics for build.
  • Sourcing and procurement of mechanical equipment for designs.
  • Creating test plans and documentation packs for developed mechanical designs.
  • Liaising with customers & suppliers.
  • Meeting project delivery deadlines.
  • Production of detailed design briefs, the basis of designs and survey reports.
  • Carry out all work in a professional manner.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Mechanical Engineering field
  • Deep knowledge of CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Irish and UK standards
  • Knowledge of Hevacomp/ MEPWorx/ IES required
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong communication skills
