We are working alongside our client who are a well established local company who offer complete solutions for joining HDPE pipework for the water and gas industries. Founded and based in the UK, they have a global presence and an international reputation for high quality and innovative products for the joining of plastic pipework. We are seeking an experienced mechanical assembler to join their small team. The Role: To assemble mechanical based products to specification and test as required. Working from production sales orders, building product from component level to the finished item. Packing and preparing the product for despatch along with the necessary documentation. Key Tasks: Assembly of Product
  • Building product from component level
  • Working from verbal or written instruction
  • Some manual handling Packaging and Preparation of Product for Despatch
  • Assembly and test of product
  • Printing of documentation
  • Review of order requirements
  • Responding to changing customer demands Interface with SAP Operating System Use of Online Shipping Software for Despatch Maintain a High Level of Housekeeping around the Work Area Ensure all Processes are Run as Effeciently as Possible Key Characteristics: Required:
  • Experience of mechanical assemblies and products
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to respond quickly
  • Self motivated with ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Good team player Desirable:
  • PC Literate with good knowledge of MS Office suite or similar
  • Previous knowledge of SAP operating system
  • Experience of quality and environmental management systems The job is based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. The core hours are Monday to Thursday (Apply online only), Friday (Apply online only). Minimum 39 hours per week salaried
