Hours:-Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm
  • Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm. We are thrilled to be working on behalf of a well‐established and financially secure design and manufacturing company. Our client is a company that specialises in creating components for safe transfer of materials, they also work with other companies to ensure the protection of personnel, equipment, and the environment. Our client is looking for a determined and engaged individual to join their assembly team as a Mechanical Assembler. Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrable, practical ability in the assembly/disassembly of mechanical assemblies.
  • Assist in all aspects of product testing including Cryogenic and Pressure Testing.
  • Carry out refurbishment of products specific requirements.
  • Carry out delivery and collections to suppliers and contractors in company van.
  • Pack orders for dispatch.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workshop area in line with health and safety standards.
  • Demonstrate practical ability of manual machining techniques. Setting and operating lathes, CNC Lathe and drilling desirable.
  • Adhere to the Company’s policy on Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Operate to company general requirements in regard to:
  • Company policies and objectives.
  • Companywide continuous improvement Required Skills:
  • Good hand fitting and finishing techniques plus a working knowledge of clean assembly techniques would be useful.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use common hand measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier callipers, bore gauges, clocks and gauges preferable.
  • Having a disciplined approach to work taking pride in their achievements.
  • Practically orientated and capable of contributing to the technical approach used to achieve the customer objectives.
  • Demonstrate a detailed and methodical approach, but with the flexibility to adapt to changing situations and requirements.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team in a challenging environment, to meet tight deadlines and the needs of customers.
  • Forklift Licence desirable, not essential.
