Summary:

As our in-house measurement expert you will consult and deliver on all of our clients’ measurement needs. Your responsibilities will include auditing and setting up tracking via GTM, providing consultative and technical support to our clients on their Google Analytics (best practice set up and migration to GA4) alongside managing any other tracking or measurement products we deliver. Lastly, you will be the internal and external lead on the future of measurement, working with our internal client and digital teams to ensure we are ready for future innovations.

Job Details:

Day to day you will be responsible for...

  • Setting up conversion actions and standard events in all ad platforms and the ad server
  • Implement, test and maintain all conversion tracking tags, remarketing pixels etc, associated triggers and variables in Google Tag Manager
  • Stay up to date with changes to different platform’s tracking API’s and pixels to ensure tracking doesn’t break
  • Set up dynamic feeds for advertising campaigns (working with the creative and digital teams)
  • Deliver on GTM, GA and other measurement audits
  • Deliver (with the help of the data and engineering team) attribution reporting
  • Provide consultancy, both internally and externally, on advertising tracking and measurement best practice
  • Provide consultancy, both internally and externally, on analytics best practice
  • Respond to all queries from internal teams in a timely manner
  • Explain technical concepts and tracking jargon in simpler terms
  • Provide step-by-step guides for clients to implement things like a GTM container or the Facebook AEM system
  • Investigate any tracking issues raised by team and fix in a timely manner
  • Manage delivery of our call tracking product, including tag implementation, reporting and our relationship with call tracking provider
  • Identify and develop further conversion and measurement products to help unlock client spend and improve campaign performance
  • Ensure both internal and external stakeholders understand privacy and cookie implications of tracking and that sufficient terms/opt-ins are in place
  • Work with data and engineering department to ensure reporting is in place to match clients expectations
  • Join client calls, where required, to help explain technical concepts and troubleshoot issues

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in a relevant role in an tagging or analytics roles
  • Experience using a Tag Management System (ideally Google Tag Manager)
  • Ability to read/write basic vanilla JavaScript
  • Ability to create documentation and technical specifications
  • Knowledge of fundamental web concepts (HTML/CSS)
  • Experience with Web Analytics and AdTech deployment (ideally Google Analytics and GMP / Facebook)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Curiosity in the field - ability to provide thought leadership on upcoming challenges facing accuracy of measurement
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset, keen to apply data to challenges
  • Knowledge and understanding of privacy and cookie legislation, both EU/UK and US
  • Desire to constantly improve yourself and the process/service you’re offering
