    Our client are a highly successful housing association with exciting plans for growth and improvement.

    Job Description

    • You will be responsible for the management and maintenance of systems including domestic and commercial gas, oil, solid fuel, renewables, lifts, LOLER and other M&E systems and you will work with the Head of Compliance to ensure that a robust performance management system is implemented to ensure compliance is maintained.
    • You must manage and monitor M&E repair services ensuring works are completed in time, to customer satisfaction and in good quality and ensure that certificates and relevant documentation are completed correctly, to regulations and within required timescales to ensure we remain compliant, that KPIs targets are achieved and can be evidenced correctly.
    • You will also be responsible for ensuring that financial controls are being adhered to and followed, monitoring budget expenditure and reporting variances.


    The Successful Applicant

    It is essential that you have a HNC/HND in Mechanical Services and a relevant building, maintenance, compliance or facilities management qualification e.g. HNC in Building or NEBOSH General (or equivalent) or by exception, qualified by experience. You must be H&V qualified and have an apprentice trained/Trades background.

    You will have previous Gas safety and landlord responsibilities and up to date knowledge of health and safety in Housing and construction. Significant, proven experience with/in Housing Associations and significant proven plumbing services experience is also required for this role.

    It Is Essential That You Have a Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Legislation And Practical Issues Regarding Installation, Maintenance, Servicing And Repairs Of
    • Natural Gas and LPG heating and hot water systems
    • H&V systems
    • Oil Systems
    • Solid Fuel
    • Plumbing
    • Ground source and Air heat pumps.
    • Lifts and Lifting Equipment

    You must have the ability to perform risk assessments to understand risk level, significance and scope; and demonstrate experience and skills managing customer and contractor relationships to ensure a high level of customer care and satisfaction.

    Previous experience in post inspection, fault finding, resolving issues/problems and carrying out accurate inspections of M&E work in residential properties, blocks, communal areas and commercial buildings is required for this role.

    It is essential that you are flexible with working hours to include occasional out of hours activities and attending evening meetings as and when required.
