MATERIALS PLANNER

Role:Materials Resource Planner, Permanent

Direct Report:Warehouse Manager - located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

Salary: Starting from £36,000 PLUS excellent benefits package plus annual bonus.

Based at the Abingdon site, this is an exciting opportunity for a Material Resource Planner to support and integrate a new ERP system into the business and Manage day to day Inventory. The position sits with the logistics team, which is growing significantly in line with overall company expansion.

Key Responsibilities Or Core Accountabilities

  • Product master data management: Products, Warehouse Bins and inventory basic data.
  • Material Planning for GMP consumables (ROP).
  • Material Planning for GMP Solvents and Raw Materials.
  • Scheduling of inbound shipments - organizing based on availability of team and warehouse space.
  • Manage Inventory yearly stock count.
  • Implement Cycle counting for all Stock.
  • Purchase requisitions for raw materials, processing and packaging aids.
  • Overseeing the eWM transactions to guarantee reliable batch traceability and to eradicate any kind of system input errors.
  • Close collaboration with Production and Procurement to streamline materials process flow.
  • Being the reference sap contact for any issues, improvements, initiatives and future implementations
  • Development and improvement of training for logistics procedures based on standardized global processes.
  • Manage and optimize warehouse utilisation.
  • Maintain KPIs and use data to optimize processes.
  • Being part of the Global Supply Chain organization represent Logistics in all forums representing MRP in UK.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities

  • Must have experience with Warehouse ERP Systems (Preferably SAP).
  • Extensive Stock Control Experience.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Previous warehouse operations experience, ideally in laboratories/ pharma
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications specifically Excel.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and reliable
  • Proactive approach to work with the ability to problem solve issues.
  • Positive attitude towards continuous improvement projects.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities

  • Counterbalance, VNA, Reach License
  • Experience and knowledge of COSHH regulations.
