Northumberland Country Zoo is an up and coming animal attraction in the North East of England. With the addition of Snow Leopards in December 2020, our future is looking bright with ambitious plans for growth. We are a family-run, not-for-profit zoo and we are looking for like-minded team players to join our ever-expanding team.

We are looking for someone who can be responsible for maintaining our PR and Marketing for the Zoo, keeping the public up-to-date with all things zoo! Ideally, the candidate will be:

  • Updating the Zoo’s Social Media Channels
  • Updating the Zoo’s Website with blog posts/up-to-date animal news
  • Creating a Zoo Newsletter for email
  • Assist with planning events for the year
  • Assist with creating promotional materials

No two days are the same at the Zoo and we need someone who is flexible and a team player, prepared for whatever is happening that day. Working at the zoo is a lifestyle choice, it is not a normal 9-5 role, however it is very rewarding. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to do something different.

This position is currently part-time, 2-3 days per week.

This is a minimum wage position.

Currently, we are offering this as a 6-month temporary contract with the opportunity to extend.

Contract length: 6 months
