The College has recently been graded ‘Good with Outstanding’ features and is striving to help more people progress into work through fulltime courses, apprenticeships and professional courses.You will be working in an established multiple Award-winning marketing team, that is expanding. The role will be heavily digital based but will require the individual to have brand development and campaign management skills.Marketing OfficerThe Marketing Officer will lead on the delivery of marketing plans for various adult profiles in the college group. They will work with key departments to understand their requirements and agree to a full written brief, specification, and objectives.Working with the Marketing Manager and Team Leader, the postholder will detail promotion, campaigns and communication required to deliver the team KPI’s on time and to budget.The successful candidate will lead on the delivery of all marketing activity for their market areas, including advertising, collateral development, direct mail, events, Film and Photography opportunities, PR and success stories, and website updates. They will act as the main point of contact for Curriculum Directors and Programme Leads, coordinating their marketing activity and working with them to set out plans to achieve recruitment targets, whilst evaluating and collating data on various marketing methods.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the College’s marketing strategy in line with department objectives.
  • Work with the Adult Team Leader to develop, plan and deliver advertising and marketing campaigns for core markets on time and in budget, evaluating success against KPI’s and targets set
  • Work with the Adult, Professional and Higher Education Teams to promote our online and distance learning course portfolio, as well as our apprenticeships provision, and funded and full-cost training offer
  • Write and produce online/offline marketing materials (publications, leaflets, presentations, animation and digital assets etc) for course areas, liaising with the relevant departmental staff to update content as necessary and with external design agencies for production.
  • Lead on the development of employer, student, and alumni case studies for market areas
  • Develop and deliver e-marketing communication plans for market areas to support conversion and keep warm activity
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate of a portfolio of events for your market areas, including exhibitions, online events and webinars, post-16 and sixth form events, internal progression events, recruitment fairs, and ensure prompt follow-up of all event leads.
  • Refresh and update web content and course information for markets on the College website and associated partner websites
  • Contribute to the department Social Content Calendar ensuring that markets are well-represented on our Social Media Channels
  • Support the Digital Team with digital marketing campaigns for market areas as required
  • Assist with College wide events including Awards Ceremonies, Open Events, School Events, Taster Days etc.
  • Support the wider team with a range of marketing activity as required, including but not limited to events support, course-specific campaigns, creation of print assets, PR, Photography and Film opportunities etc.
  • Support the Marketing Manager and Team leader with the delivery of the College’s corporate relations activities as required.
Marketing Officer Requirements:Essential
  • Literacy and Numeracy qualifications to at least Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Degree in Marketing or an equivalent professional qualification, or demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a similar marketing or educational marketing role
  • Experience of planning and delivering successful marketing campaigns, preferably for employer and/or education marketing
  • Experience of website content production
  • Previous experience of advertising and media planning
  • Ability to work with multiple departments, manage multiple projects and workload, using initiative to make decisions
  • Good attention to detail, copywriting, and proofreading skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle with Business Insurance
Desirable
  • CIM qualification (has or is working towards)
  • Knowledge of course recruitment
