About the role

The role of Marketing Manager will a key position within our Commercial department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all areas of the company’s marketing.

Working closely with all internal departments of the business, our Licensees, OEM / manufacturer partners, suppliers and trade bodies such as the BVRLA.

On a day to day basis the job will entail;

• Creating a marketing plan to achieve the strategy set out by the Board

• Planning and managing a calendar of campaigns

• Defining brand guidelines and ensuring they are adhered to

• Writing copy for various publications including our quarterly newsletter

• Preparing email marketing content

• Creating website and Licensee web portal content

• Working with partners to create product and service bulletins and web portal content

• Organising postal campaigns

• Assisting with the marketing of business events and hospitality

• Being on hand to advise our Licensees on marketing topics

About you / skills required

• Excellent verbal, written, presentation & communication skills with an eye for detail.

• The ability to be able to prioritise workload effectively and be able to work on your own with minimum supervision together with excellent organisation skills.

• The ideal candidate for this role will have had at least 2 years’ experience in a similar marketing position.

• Computer literate, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• The successful candidate must be self-disciplined, self-motivated, a fast learner, be tenacious and show and demonstrate how ‘you go the extra mile’.

• Be able to handle and overcome objections and provide solutions to complex situations.

• The successful candidate must be prepared to attend events outside of regular office hours which may include occasional weekends and some overnight stays.

This role involves working a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, usually between the hours of 8.00 and 17.30 with one hour for lunch. Flexibility on this may be required periodically.
