This is an exciting and rare opportunity to play a central role in HarperCollins UK’s marketing and publicity activity in the international open markets. Working with books published by HarperCollins UK publishing divisions including 4th Estate, HarperFiction, HarperNonFiction, HarperCollins Children’s Books, HQ and Farshore, the Marketing Manager for International Open Markets role sits at the heart of our highly successful Open Markets International Sales team, who sell to customers in Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East, Latin America & the Caribbean.

This is the perfect position for a curious marketeer keen to develop their experience beyond the UK. Day to day the role is packed with variety and includes both trade and consumer marketing activity, trade events, author publicity and management of our dedicated Harper Reach digital channels. Focus territories include countries across Europe, the Middle East and Asia – and a strong working relationship with the HarperCollins US export team in New York is required.

The Marketing Manager for International Open Markets reports to the HarperCollins UK Trade Marketing Director and works alongside the Trade Marketing Manager for the UK and Ireland. This structure gives the best of both worlds – the ability to work independently alongside the Open Markets sales managers and HarperCollins US team, while simultaneously benefitting from the shared creativity and campaign activity of our small trade marketing team in London.

Desirable candidates will bring prior marketing experience within a general trade publisher, but not necessarily have worked in an international role before.
