We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our team and help manage our ecommerce and brochure websites across the group. The ideal candidate will have experience with WordPress and be proficient in using creative software tools like Photoshop. Additionally, familiarity with SEO, analytics, email marketing, or social media advertising will be highly advantageous. As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and engaging shopping experience for our customers while driving sales and optimizing our online presence. You will be working closely with the Marketing Manager plenty of opportunity for career development, knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Companies within the group include; Taylor Davis Ltd, a wholesale packaging company offering an extensive selection of premium metal and plastic containers in the UK. Atkinson Equipment, a well-recognised company in their field, supplying original manufactured equipment for the oil heating industry.

Key Duties:

· Assist with creating new/maintaining current product listings on e-commerce websites.

· Assist in creating visually appealing product images, banners, and promotional materials using tools like Photoshop.

· Monitor website performance, user experience, and conversion rates to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.

· Support SEO efforts by optimizing product descriptions, titles, and meta tags to improve organic search rankings and drive targeted traffic (can be taught).

· Manage any general website administration duties.

· Assist in planning and executing email marketing campaigns, including creating engaging content, segmenting customer lists, and analysing campaign performance.

· Support social media advertising initiatives by assisting with content creation, scheduling, and monitoring performance on various platforms.

· Assist the Marketing Manager with projects when required.

Personal Qualities and Skills Required:

· Prior experience working with Wordpress & OpenCart and familiarity with their functionalities and features is highly desirable.

· Proficiency in using software tools like Photoshop to create visually appealing graphics and promotional materials.

· Exposure to email marketing strategies, including campaign creation and performance analysis.

· Familiarity with social media platforms and an understanding of how to create engaging content for advertising purposes.

· Knowledge or experience in SEO best practices and techniques to enhance website visibility and organic search rankings.

· Basic understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track performance and generate insights.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

· Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
