Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to be representing our client in recruiting for a Marketing & Communications Manager. Our client are continuing an exciting journey of growth and this is a newly created role within the Business Development and Marketing Team (BDM) which will contribute towards the team supporting the firm’s ambitious growth plans. The role holder will be responsible for developing the brand and creating a marketing strategy which will enhance the firm’s market position and drive new revenue opportunities with both existing and new clients.

Offering attractive remuneration of up to £55K plus fantastic benefits and the opportunity to work 3 days from the Tunbridge Wells offices and 2 days from home, the ideal candidate will be a strategic, dynamic and engaging Digital Marketing & Communications Manager with experience of working within professional services.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Work with the BD Team to develop customer personas for key target audiences * Understand and articulate the buyer journey for key audiences and how to improve their experience * Use client insights, market research and data to inform the campaign development process, designed to meet BD and Marketing objectives * Collaborate with the BD team and fee earners to develop a cohesive content and campaign strategy for the firm which integrates into the overall BD strategy as well as divisional BD plans * Set clear metrics to measure and report on the outcomes of marketing and communication programmes and campaigns
  • Act as the brand guardian, ensuring usage is consistent, cohesive and appropriate and that there are clear guidelines in place for internal and external audiences * Help to develop clear and relevant value propositions and key messages, embedding these throughout our communications * Work with the Head of BD & Marketing and firm leadership team to evolve and develop the brand’s visual identity as and when required * Take ownership of the firm’s website and other core assets to ensure they deliver value to the client experience
  • Oversee the longer term brand strategy alongside shorter term lead generation campaigns which add value for the target audience and generate leads * Work with the Marketing and Communication team and external suppliers to create creative and engaging issues-led campaigns utilising both online and offline channels as appropriate for the target audience * Support the firm’s transition to become more digitally enabled, engaging the business on effective use of social media and other virtual engagement tactics
  • Advise, coach and empower the Marketing and Communication team to promote a ‘best in class’ team * Ensure clear plans are in place for their individual objectives and career progression
  • Manage the marketing and communication’s budget and measure ROI * Oversee marketing and communication supplier relationships

The Ideal Candidate will bring extensive experience of developing compelling thought leadership and creative marketing programmes alongside an excellent knowledge of effective digital marketing in a B2B environment. They will also have:

  • Strong, proven experience at manager level in a B2B environment, working within professional services
  • Demonstrable experience of brand management and building brand propositions and messaging
  • Evidence of developing cohesive content strategies and high impact thought leadership
  • Proven track record of delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns with defined metrics and results
  • Proficient in all marketing channels and understanding of their appropriate uses including digital (paid and organic), e-marketing, PR, advertising, sponsorship and events
  • Demonstrable budget management and analytical skills
  • An experienced team manager, able to lead, inspire and motivate teams
  • Degree level education preferred / relevant qualifications
  • A strong creative mind-set, able to see things from a fresh and engaging perspective
  • A strong team player with a natural drive to collaborate
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven consulting skills with the credibility to challenge, influence and advise senior stakeholders
  • Excellent project management skills with the tenacity to drive initiatives forward and overcome obstacles
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to make recommendations
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workloads.
