Each Arlo & Jacob piece is made to order and hand crafted by one person from start to

finish in our Nottinghamshire factory and many of the makers are part of the original team.

There’s a huge range of options from contemporary to classic, all of which can be upholstered in over 120 house fabrics, with family friendly, designer and sustainable options available. We offer free design consultations in any of our individually styled showrooms to help our customer’s discover their dream sofa - or, our online experience allows you to view all the options at a glance and we have a new website launching soon.

We strive to be best in class throughout our campaigns and consistently stand out from the crowd. There is a hook to always hang something on, a relevant message that’s timely and considered with a sophisticated thought process. Non-abrasive sale messages which resonate with Sally, Julie or Juliette.

About the role...

Primarily based in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire and with occasional travel to our offices in London. We are constantly content driven, be it visual, verbal or written and our active promotional calendar leads to the development of multiple creative campaigns that run in line with strategic brand development. The Marketing Assistant role features a varied mix of tasks which reflect the need for a flexible and creative individual who is great at planning and organisation too.

A keen passion for trends throughout the world of fashion and interiors is a must.

Active research around both trends and competitor language and messaging would be

commonplace.

The day to day activities shape up like this:

• Advertising – Coordinating with all external media and paid social agencies, keeping on top of the calendars, asset requirements and deadlines.
• Email marketing - E-shot/newsletter reviewing, scheduling & reporting, contributing to content.
• PR – dealing with press enquiries, product loans, briefing content producer on press release concepts, sending releases and maintaining relationships with journalists.
• Collateral management – sourcing quotes, maintaining stock levels in showrooms and factory for brand assets including POS, product tags, window displays, postcards etc.
• Briefing content producer and designer about designs and requirements, arranging deliveries when necessary.
• Reporting – Offline, Social media, PR & weekly overview reports.
• Events & Partnerships – planning & execution of showroom events, outreach to influencers/brands for collaborations, competitions and discounts.
• Planning - Keeping content schedule up to date and being actively involved in the planning of marketing measures, implementation of code strategies etc.
• Staying on top of trends and competitor research to plan for campaigns - production of marketing ideas and creative documents.
• Social media - Managing Pinterest & YouTube channels and content.
