JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing & Communications Manager, International is a key member of the global Satcom Direct (SD) team, leading MarCom strategy development and implementation. This role manages marketing and communications efforts for SD across the company’s international markets (SDI), providing a key link between the central MarCom team and the international Sales organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Develop, in collaboration with Vice President, International and Regional Directors, the marketing strategy for SDI to help drive sales and brand growth while ensuring coordination and consistency of message via strong relationship with the Global MarCom team.

-Create and deploy holistic MarCom plans and promotional campaigns tailored to the specific regional needs of SDI markets to showcase SD products and services

-Foster strong relationship and coordination with Regional Directors to understand needs of independent regions to drive sales growth, provide strategic counsel and liaise with SD central MarCom team

-Support SDI with development of 2D & 3D marketing assets as needed to showcase SDI product and service offerings

-Co-coordinate marketing campaigns, workshops, shows with sales, support and training activities, including maintaining international marketing calendar

-Instigate KPIs and measure performance of marketing efforts – develop reporting and report actionable insights and recommendations

-Manage external agency partners, as required, to support brand growth

-Travelling to international tradeshows and events as required

-Other duties as assigned

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field

-Minimum of 5 years broad Marketing & Communications experience with proven track record of success in designing and deploying coordinated MarCom campaigns

-Experience in marketing environments that encompass both product and service offerings preferred

-Aerospace and/or technology industry experience advantageous

-Proven experience working independently and in collaborative team environment. Remote working experience advantageous.

KNOWLEDGE or SKILLS:

-Excellent written and verbal communications skills

-Strong organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail

-Ability to take self-directed initiatives and proactively identify when it’s necessary to take progressive steps to drive project completion

-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to transition between multiple international cultures

-Ability to balance competing projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

-Results-driven, embraces nimble company culture

-Additional language proficiencies advantageous

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing general office duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening and reading, able to lift light objects (< 25lbs), and use standard office equipment such as computer, printer, phone and cell phone. In addition there is an occasional need to bend, twist or stoop in order to open/close cabinets, reach for files or other standard office type objects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The office environment is generally quiet and in a temperature controlled setting with random adjustments in noise or temperature due to others talking or laughing loudly, unscheduled maintenance repairs to the building or its interior offices or unpredictable situations due to weather or other acts beyond company control. An employee must be willing to work their regularly assigned work schedule for their particular duties and/or job responsibilities and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company/department needs, project requirements or customer demands. Some overnight travel is required to facilitate work objectives. While at client site locations, if applicable, employee will be required to adhere to the proper safety precautions established by the client while in proximity to their work area, flight-line or maintenance repair center; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. The temperature at client locations can vary from controlled to variations off hot/cold when working, standing or walking in or near the flight-line or maintenance repair center.
