MARKET ACCESS MANAGER / Field Based

Location: National

IQVIA is currently recruiting for Market Access Managers who will be accountable for implementing patient access strategies and tactics with supporting materials, particularly focusing on advanced budgetary notifications and healthcare system preparation, plus pull through for relevant new indications and products.

The role involves engaging with target customers and delivering the agreed activities to ensure optimal patient access to new medicines.

You will work cross-functionally to contribute and influence pre-launch strategies and align Patient Access activities with other key functions such as medical and marketing.

This will be a full-time role and field based.

As a Market Access Manager you will:

  • Gather intelligence from relevant stakeholders to understand the impact of new medicines and relevant significant indications, on healthcare budgets and effective patient service delivery in the defined geography.
  • Implement excellent patient access advanced budget notification plans and activities to ensure optimal environment to enable early patient access and uptake of new products and appropriate significant new indications.
  • Work collaboratively with Medical, Marketing, and, Patient Access functions (health economics, government affairs and healthcare partnerships) and other key internal partners to implement launch strategy, planning and ensure optimal alignment of Patient Access launch activities
  • Maintain appropriate pre-launch planning project documentation to ensure that activities run to agreed timelines and within agreed resource allocations.
  • Use dynamic re-design modelling programmes to drive pathway optimisation to maximise case finding in local health economies. Tailor brand propositions and wider service offers to enhance, take up and/or adoption of proposed solutions.
  • Ensure that SOPs and the ABPI Code of Practice are adhered to in the planning and execution of all satient and system Access pre-launch and post launch activities.
  • Be a catalyst to drive pathway optimisation to maximise case finding in local health economies
  • Identify opportunities, develop and implement key tactics to drive a change in pathway/management of appropriate patient cohorts.
  • Influence local and national healthcare policy makers and payers of the” benefits of using risk stratification and case finding methodology to maximise patient access to appropriate care
  • Interpret and analyse complex data, map and understand the local health economy and commercial goals to ensure effective and well harmonized delivery of objectives.
  • Tailor brand propositions and wider service offers to enhance take up and/or adoption of proposed solutions.
  • Build working relationships with key opinion leaders and other influential stakeholders to ensure effective contact is made in order to achieve desired outcomes or deliverables and establish the organization’s reputation within the local marketplace.

As a Market Access Manager, you are required to have:

  • Advanced experience of Market and Patient Access launch strategies and solutions
  • Advanced experience in networking in a matrix management organisation
  • Advance knowledge of NHS and wider healthcare system
  • Strong strategic commercial insight
  • Degree level qualification
  • Ability to unravel complexity and identify robust commercial opportunities in a local health economy
  • Ability to lead a diverse group of customer stakeholders to action.
  • Expertise in project planning and management skills.
  • Fluency in software operating systems, such as MS Office and customer relationship management systems.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work load and to coordinate the work of others to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, team members, managers and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics
