We have a brand-new vacancy for Manufacturing Technician with mechanical and electrical assembly skills to join an award-winning technology company developing innovative systems for the international space industry. The Manufacturing Technician will focus on manufacturing and assembly of all mechanical elements of these space products together with some electrical assembly, all to detailed specifications.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for set up and use of equipment in preparation for mechanical assembly and manufacturing tasks including, but not limited to, spotwelding, pull testing, application of Kapton tape, glues, arathane and similar mechanical production and assembly tasks
Accurate and consistent assembly of wiring including soldering of live flight hardware in accordance with ECSS held certification. Manufacture and inspection of harnesses for test equipment.
Responsibility for following the build documentation and providing support and input to project assembly and training documentation and drawings. Completion of all manufacturing and assembly documentation, non-conformance reports and complying with company`s performance process and cleanroom processes.
Raising any material or purchase requests, maintaining the cleanroom areas in a clean and operational condition.
Requirements:
Understanding manufacturing processes with a hands-on approach to mechanical assembly, a background in assembly operations, Ideally in Aerospace or similar highly regulated or ‘clean room’ environment.
A commitment to hardware safety as top priority.
Ideally but not essentially experience and understanding of basic electrical test equipment.
Ideally qualification and work experience in soldering and crimping of high-reliability electrical connections to ECSS-Q-ST-70-08 (Manual soldering of high reliability electrical connections) and/or ECSS-Q-ST-70-26 (Crimping of high-reliability electrical connections).
Proficient skills with MS Office / Office 365 suite of programs.
