Manufacturing Technician 1

Full Time Fixed Term Contract - Rotational Shifts

Competitive Salary + Shift Allowance

Responsible for ensuring that the daily requirements for the manufacture of cell culture media and reagents are met and that performance expectations are achieved on a constant basis.

What will you do?

  • Support manufacturing teams needs on a daily basis by ensuring all necessary packaging materials are in place.
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained within the manufacturing facility.
  • Assist in the lower risk stages of the manufacturing process such as pallet building, tank cleaning, bottle opening, automated washer operation and product locating.
  • Involvement and interaction in daily/ weekly team meetings.
  • Ensure all relevant processes are understood and followed before beginning any specific task.
  • Maintain 5S standards within department.
  • Report out near misses and ensure all relevant PPE is being worn.
  • Accurate recording of information in batch records and any relevant logs.
  • Feedback to supervisor any potential improvement ideas around Quality, EHS or productivity.

Who we are looking for:

  • Individual must show a passion for this type of work and this industry and must be driven to continuously improve and fully engage in any initiatives that the team undertakes to make things better.
  • Previous Manufacturing experience preferable
  • Works in a laboratory environment. Is required to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties.
  • Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts.
