To support our production team in Stonehouse we are looking for Manufacturing Systems Engineers to provide technical support, ensure high quality standards are consistently met, ensure HS&E guidelines are followed and drive continuous improvement projects.Role & Responsibilities- To provide technical support for high volume diesel fuel injection manufacturing processes and automation with a key focus on small tolerances, quality, reliability and Operational Efficiency
- To improve manufacturing performance with regard to process capability, output, productivity and cost
- To deliver robust manufacturing solutions for new product/components to meet the required HS&E aspects, first time quality, installed capacity and cost
- To own quality operating / documentation systems ensuring IATF compliance
- To drive improvements by use of problem-solving techniques, statistical methods and continuous improvement, taking a lead role in group activities
- To deliver manufacturing process documentation and training in line with business training standards (5 Star process)
- To own / lead PFMEA activities, driving / delivering overall risk reduction in the area of responsibility
- To lead first time pass rate / right through yield improvement activities to minimise waste and cost through value streams
- Proactively ensure quality procedures and guidelines are followed to ensure quality objectives are met
- To deliver robust, timely solutions to customer / internal quality concerns
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Best practice solutions for cell design and material flow management
- Ability to actively contribute to the running and success of multi-disciplinary project teams
- Good computer literacy skills
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and data analysis skills
- Experience of generating data sets, suitable for presentational purposes
- Experience with high volume automation and manufacturing equipment including CNC, robotics, camera systems
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Good knowledge of quality operating systems / maintaining manufacturing system auditability
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline with an interest in manufacturing
- Self-motivated and have a strong and flexible attitude towards work
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadline when required
- Strong accountability mindset
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Team Orientated
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload
- To comply to BorgWarner Health, Safety and Environmental regulations such as PPE showing responsibility of personal safety and that of others
