Focussing on the reporting and analytics required to enable manufacturing strategy and performance improvements. The role will transition legacy ways of working to technologically driven, best practice end-to-end approaches. This will lead to faster, data driven decision making that ultimately maximises performance and quality of manufacturing.THE ROLEKey Responsibilities
  • Work with the Manufacturing Excellence Director and appropriate cross functional business leads to devise and implement new business processes that deliver transformed reporting and analytics capability.
  • Continually seek feedback from key stakeholders to iterate processes and maintain best-in-class capabilities.
  • Partner with the Digital team on behalf of the Manufacturing team on all digital and analytics delivery.
  • Continually scan external best practices to ensure JLR technology interventions and overall reporting/analytic capabilities are at the forefront of industry best practice.
  • Grow the rapid establishment of a single approach to manufacturing reporting & analysis, including supporting the plant operations teams to adopt live performance reporting.
  • Manage the transformation program with Agile project management techniques, embedding Agile methodology in the future ways of working.
  • Plan for and manage project risks, issues and dependencies to maximise likelihood of project success escalating risks where necessary.
  • Regularly review lessons learnt from project, act on these where appropriate and share these with others to support continuous improvement.
  • Lead the resources required for the project ensuring that those involved have the necessary training and skills to fulfil their role and necessary support, advice and guidance.
  • Inspire & challenge the Manufacturing team thinking & insights whilst delivering this substantive transformation within 12 months.

  • Support and growth the existing team, creation and implementation of a technology roadmap that delivers transformed, best in class reporting & analytics capabilities, with the Manufacturing Business Office (MBO) Director.
  • Acceleration of analytics adoption in manufacturing.
  • Grow manufacturing analytics hub and capability, to lead on performance analytics, delivering immediate & rapid process improvements via this approach.
  • Transform the maximum number of processes via analytics tools and grow analytics capability across the team.
  • Support manufacturing team in adoption in multiple business areas, grow and sustain live manufacturing operational and performance reporting.

What You’ll NeedEssential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Expertise in reporting and data analytics best practices.
  • Strong knowledge in manufacturing operations.
  • Experience transforming reporting and data analytics capabilities, ideally within supply chain environments.
  • Strong background and experience of Project Management using Project Management techniques, with a solid track record of successful delivery.
  • Proven experience of stakeholder management and business contracting at various levels.
  • Experience in effective change management.
  • Methodical detailed approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base.
  • Relevant experience with Agile Project Management methodology.
  • Commercially astute with an ability to understand the business function that this role supports.
