Full training provided to become a Fluidcare Technician, you will be an expert in the shop floor support tasks required at the GKN Aerospace facility to ensure that Quaker Houghton is providing a quality service. This person is a key team player in ensuring we continue to exceed customer expectations.

Tasks

What will you do?

The role involves providing basic mechanical maintenance support for production machinery and associated equipment. Tasks include scheduled and unscheduled inspections of key equipment such as conveyors, metal chip processing systems etc.. It will also involve first line maintenance duties, identification of faults, replacing worn or faulty parts and liaising with the customers maintenance teams.

The ideal candidate will be a team player but also be capable of working unsupervised. A full training program will be provided.

  • Scheduled / unscheduled equipment maintenance tasks
  • Fault finding and repair
  • Task planning and logistical coordination
  • Customer liaison
  • Reporting and feedback
Previous mechanical and maintenance experience is required, ideally from working in a manufacturing environment.

Compliance with QH EHS operating systems, schedules of work and JTRA’s (Job, Task, Risk, Assessments) is mandatory. Engagement with EHS initiatives is also a necessary requirement.

  • Previous mechanical and maintenance experience is required, ideally from working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good English skills.
  • Positive attitude to safety.
  • Mechanical / Maintenance background.
  • Flexible to job requirement and demonstrates a can do attitude.
  • Location: Filton, Bristol
  • Soft skills: high safety consciousness, proactive, team player, competent communicator.
