Job Title: Manufacturing ManagerSalary: £37,000Location: BlackburnOur client are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to support the Operations Manager, to deliver on manufacturing targets, driving business success and managing staff. The position has direct line management for 3 shift-team leaders, overseeing 40 manufacturing operators on 3 shifts. It could be suitable for an experienced supervisor looking to take a step up. THIS ROLE IS DAY SHIFT ONLY, AND SITE BASED.The Successful Candidate Will
  • Allocate activity and resources while achieving quality and safety standards
  • Motivate and manage their team, including performance management, development, welfare, and target monitoring
  • Increase productivity, quality, and delivery reliability
  • Maintain records and systems to ensure that all information reporting is correct
  • Lead by example and in line with the Freudenberg Guiding Principles and the Code of Conduct
  • Be ambitious, with a view to building a long-term career at Freudenberg
  • Communicate effectively and flexibly to team members and managers
  • Show initiative and drive to get things done
Essential Experience Requirements
  • 2 years leading a large operational team in a busy environment or strong academic background in management or manufacturing
  • Use of lean management tools, for example six sigma, or 5s
  • Comfortable using I.T. including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Package and ERP systems
The Following Would Be Desirable But Not Essential
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Management qualification
  • Health and Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely or similar)
