MANUFACTURING MANAGER - CNC MACHINE SHOP

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

£65k DOE

Grafton Recruitment are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Manager to join a global manufacturer of high precision machined products with over 200 facilities worldwide.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Manufacturing Manager to manage all production related activities.

The Role

As a Manufacturing Manager you will be required to:
  • Manage a multifunctioning team consisting of: Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, CNC Machinists and Tooling Engineers
  • Monitor output, quality, cost and health & safety ensuring KPI’s have been met
  • Develop an ongoing forward plan (with a minimum 4 week look-ahead window) to confirm how the production schedule will be met
  • Getting the best out of staff and identifying training needs
  • Ensure that assigned section activities are conducted in accordance to company procedures and standards ensuring high quality output
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and support initiatives to improve efficiencies
  • Conduct briefings, tool box talks, minor accident investigation and inspection
  • Facilitate all capital investment projects
  • Check the quality of components manufactured through inspection and report any non-conformances
  • Working closely with departmental managers to improve overall output
The Candidate

The ideal Manufacturing Manager:
  • Previously worked in a CNC Machine Shop/machining environment, ensuring products are manufactured at the right cost and level of quality
  • Knowledge of closed die forging and casting processes (beneficial)
  • Cap-ex and Project Management know how
  • Previous experience leading / managing a team
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001
  • A dynamic personality with the attitude to always do better
  • Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels
