We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, who are based in North Coventry, and we are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join their Maintenance Division. This will involve working hours either 6am till 2pm or 2pm until 10pm (shift allowance is 13.75%), if required to work through the night the shift allowance is 17.37%.

Main duties are to Carry out maintenance and tooling activities as required by the company.

To provide "hands-on" technical support for current and future Maintenance and Manufacturing projects. Manufacturing day to day support as required.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To assist in the installing and commission of "in-house" / sub-contract designed tooling, plant and equipment.
  • To assist Manufacturing Engineering with the "hands-on" process optimisation for the development of next generation of products.
  • To assist in the rectification / repair of equipment under the guidance of the maintenance manager.
  • To liaise with tooling design, and carry out improvements to "in-house" tooling as specified by the Maintenance manager.
  • To assist in improvement related to rejects and waste reduction; Health & Safety and productivity improvements.
  • To provide "hands-on" training on the use of equipment. To provide necessary supporting documentation to demonstrate correct training.
  • To liaise closely with the Maintenance Manager to improve plant / equipment utilisation. To assist in the generating of Preventative Maintenance plans for new / existing equipment as required. Carry out as necessary preventative maintenance checks
  • To provide technical support for modified tooling or equipment and liaise with engineering and/or tooling vendors.
  • To support manufacturing if and when required.
  • Use machinery under the guidance of the maintenance manager
