We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our team!!

The primary function of this role is continuous yield monitoring, reporting and problem solving of production issues at our contract manufacturers, the role will also involve supporting the Manufacturing Engineering team with assembly and build of electronics test of prototype products and test systems

The electronics technician role will be varied and will involve supporting the Manufacturing Engineering Team, as new products and prototypes are built, tested, and validated ahead of volume production.
You will need good prototype electronics skills and must be familiar with standard benchtop equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeter’s, etc.)

As our Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Continuous yield monitoring, reporting and problem solving of production issues at our contract manufacturers.
  • Prepare actions plans to support HID’s continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting the Manufacturing Engineering team with assembly and build of electronics test of prototype products and test systems
  • You will be involved with the assembly, build and electronics test of prototype products and test systems in the product development stage.

What we will love about your background:

  • Demonstrate strong practical fault finding skills and practical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

Your Experience and Education include:

  • IPC standards familiarity
  • Qualified to a suitable level on Electronics Engineering HNC, HND level
  • Mechanical Assembly experience
  • HNC in Electronic Engineering
  • 5 years experience or demonstrate a completed technical apprenticeship scheme
  • Demonstrate strong practical fault finding skills and practical skills
