Job title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Glascoed near Newport, Monmouthshire. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Maintaining the basis of safety and safe system of work for existing processes
  • Planning and designing methods to improve efficiency and product quality by utilising Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and working as a member of a cross functional team
  • Delivering training on improved elements of processes in line with project activities
  • Ensuring operational compliance to legislatory standards e.g., ISO45001, ISO9001
  • Supporting the sites CI plan and managing identified business improvement projects
  • Producing technical specifications for new/replacement equipment, carrying out factory acceptance and installed article tests, and carrying out trials and commissioning on process equipment
Your Skills And Experiences
  • Science / Engineering or relevant degree, HND, HNC or equivalent
  • Previous experience in manufacturing processes
  • Ability to produce clear and concise written process control documents i.e., Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Control Plans, (PCP), and work instructions
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment, aerospace, electrical, automotive, or process industry, or chemical processing

The Manufacturing Team

You will be working alongside a small experienced team of Manufacturing Engineers, which provide process solutions and improvements to the BAE Systems Operations business. This fast paced and dynamic team work to improve equipment availability and capability and support engineering proposals to the wider business.
