A leading national contractor are looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their Scotland based team. This business are one of the market leaders in the power transmission market and they also have a growing pipeline of work in renewables. Due to a recent influx in contracts awarded, and a healthy order book for 2023 and well beyond, the business now needs to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor to deliver on major transmission works with includes 400kv upgrades and reinforcements. As a Managing Quantity Surveyor you will report to Commercial Director, forming an integral part of the growing Commercial Team. You will lead in the control of costs, maximising value, minimising and accurately forecasting cost, whilst maintaining the required standard of quality and safety. You will work closely with the project teams, liaising with Project Managers, Planners and Site Delivery teams whilst overseeing a team of surveyors from Senior to Assistant level in the delivery of a large sum of transmission related contracts. This role is suited to an experienced Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor from a utilities, energy, water, rail, civil engineering, gas, highways background who has delivered on major projects before, with an excellent understanding of NEC.
