This role is to help organizations optimize business value by devising strategies and models to support and sustain technology transformations and maximize technology function synergies and financial benefits. We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record of planning, designing and executing strategic programs aimed at improving effectiveness and efficiency of IT by working with stakeholders including Heads of IT Strategy. We are looking for someone who has deep knowledge of IT Effectiveness Assessment, Technology Operating Model and templates and patterns for IT Strategy, with the ability to develop Technology Roadmaps and Processes.EY operates across all industry sectors, and this role offers the opportunity to build experience and bring your wealth of technology expertise to clients in new and diverse projects, each with their own unique set of challenges.The role requires excellent business and technology understanding, as well as experience in technology strategy and selection. We are seeking candidates who can evidence a broader consulting skill set. This role will be based out of the UK with flexible working arrangement. This role require travel from time-to-time to both domestic and international locations depending on client needs.Your key responsibilitiesIn your role as a Manager – IT Strategy within Technology Transformation you will have responsibility for:

• Contributing to technology strategy that enables value and growth across the client’s business
• Working with the Head of IT Strategy on the effective management and delivery of technology roadmaps, maintaining focus on quality and risk management, while navigating operational and organisational dynamics.
• Building and manage client peer relationships.
• Providing insight in a function or specialism through analysis and knowledge of best practices to solve complex problems, driving thought leadership and innovation
• Identifying new technologies which can make a material impact on the sector and competitive advantage
• Explaining technology trends and vendor roadmaps in terms for business impact
• Developing proposals, responding to client requirements, providing subject matter expertise

Key Skills And Attributes For Success

• Knowledge of and ability to frame key business and technology trends within the context of the client’s objectives. Ability to identify the potential implications and impacts of the associated trends.
• Ability to analyse the effectiveness of current IT strategy and identifies major gaps / challenges
• Ability to document the mission, vision, objectives and strategies of the IT organization
• Ability to proposes small-scale IT initiatives or programs that can enhance business value and yield benefits
• Ability to conduct Return on Investment (ROI) and cost-benefit analyses on current or potential IT programs
• Knowledge of organizational, IT industry leading practice and market relevant policies, standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of and ability to use methods and tools to develop a roadmap for the future state of technology which aligns the architecture and processes with business strategies and objectives.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge of Sourcing Strategies, Application Portfolio Rationalisation and IT Finance Baselines
• Very good written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills
• Confidence to support meetings with client sponsors, management, and individual contributors.
