The Transformation team within American Express Global Business Travel has the mission of creating value for the enterprise by identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to increase organisational effectiveness and efficiency through complex problem solving, cross-functional change efforts, end-to-end process transformation and strategic integration or divestitures.

The Manager, Integration Change & Communications is a key role on the team and a change agent for the organisation. In coordination with GBT’s Global Communications and Public Affairs organization and the Director, Integration Change & Communications, they would support change management and communications for strategic integration programs. This is a full-time, two-year fixed term position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and address resistance.
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities to assess the change impact, complete change management assessments, and incorporate change management activities into project plans.
  • Track KPIs as determined by the director to monitor progress of change within a broad range of the organization, and identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics. Prepare and distribute progress reports benchmarking communications workstream progress against integration timelines. Evaluate and ensure user readiness and manage stakeholders across all functions.
  • In alignment with enterprise objectives, execute communication strategies, plans, and campaign concepts in partnership with the director. Manage timelines and communicate progress to executive teams.
  • Craft comprehensive change management materials and distribute through the proper internal and external channels.
  • Create engaging content across a variety of media channels to promote awareness of integration programs and drive sponsorship, engagement and adoption across all key stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively across a matrixed, cross-functional structure, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships to drive results.
  • Track outcomes and manage activities and program performance in accordance with budget and strategic direction.

Requirements to Succeed:

  • Experience supporting and implementing large-scale global organizational transformation.
  • Intellectually curious self-starter motivated by the challenge of complex problem solving, skilled at building consensus and making thoughtful, data-driven recommendations for project / program prioritization, solution design, issue management, risk identification and mitigation.
  • Excellent business judgment and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.
  • An analytical, innovative and creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence without direct authority, and to inspire a followership and mobilize change agents that act as multipliers and foster the mindset.
  • Effective communicator and strong writer able to craft clear and compelling stories for diverse audiences.
  • A team player and enterprise thinker.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence.
  • 5 - 7 years of related communications experience.
  • Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
