The role is within the South West Hampshire locality finance team in Hampshire, Southampton & Isle of Wight CCG. We are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work with us, to support the provision of sound financial management. This role will fit with the new hybrid working model of the CCG; providing the opportunity to work from home and attend face to face meetings at our office in Eastleigh when permitted.

We are looking for a part-qualified candidate or qualified by experience. We will consider applications from candidates who wish to work the minimum of 3 days per week (22.5 hours) up to full-time hours (37.5 hours). Salary would be paid on a pro-rata basis according to contracted hours.

The role will provide finance management support and advice to the management of commissioning budgets as part of the South West locality finance team. The key elements will be providing monthly reporting, supporting Primary Care, mental health, financial advice, budget setting, analysis of efficiency schemes and variance analysis to budget holders.

Ensuring patients receive the care they need, in the right place and at the right time is the top priority for the Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

The CCG serves a population of 1.66 million people and manages a budget of £3.5 billion. It is made up of five local place based teams; Fareham and Gosport and South Eastern Hampshire working in partnership with Portsmouth CCG and Portsmouth Hospital; North and Mid Hampshire working in partnership with Hampshire Hospitals; South West Hampshire and Southampton City working in partnership with Southampton, Dorset and Salisbury hospitals and theIsle of Wightwhere we work as an integrated care system.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible in approach, demonstrate a good ability to rapidly develop and maintain good working relationships with people from a wide range of personal and professional backgrounds. You will need sound accounting and excel skills with attention to detail and consistent high quality of work. You will have a positive and can do approach, identify any future issues and suggest solutions for forward planning. You will need to have some knowledge, and ideally experience of working in the NHS and will have the ability work on own initiative and organise own workload without supervision working to tight and often changing timescales.
