Job Title: Management Accountant
Salary: £40K-£50K per annum (based on experience)

Industry: Engineering
Location: Glenrothes, Fife

Role purpose for Management Accountant:

The Management Accountant’s main responsibilities will include a lead role in the preparation of monthly engineering management accounts and presenting these in monthly reviews with engineering/program teams.

Duties & responsibilities for Management Accountant:

  • Analysis of monthly business figures
  • Fixed and variable cost analysis
  • Cost centre budget tracking
  • Annual business planning and interim forecast updates
  • Project risk assessment and profitability analysis
  • Support business reporting to stakeholders
  • Participate in month end close process
  • Maintain integrity and consistency of expense recording
  • Respond to queries from business departments
  • Costing of motors and components in SAP
  • Analysis of material price variances
  • Analysis of production order variances
  • Improve quality and depth of business reporting
  • Share learnings with colleagues
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Continuous review of tasks and improvement of processe

Qualifications & experience for Management Accountant:

  • Degree in Finance, Business or related studies and a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ICA or CIMA)
  • Experience of SAP production accounting and costing
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Management Accounting role
  • Knowledge of MS Office products with a high proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
